Phonics/ Reading/ Grammar

Phonics is the systematic approach to reading whereby students learn letter names, sounds, blends, and eventually words. This method has been proven time and again to be the best way to teach children how to read. 

St. Anthony Academy teaches phonics to children in kindergarten through second grade using the Abeka phonics program. Students move quickly from basal readers to chapter books by the end of second grade.
